Anna Jarrett is an internationally acclaimed Australian professional storyteller and accredited trainer. Her magical tale telling has been featured at major festivals including: Australian National Festival of Storytelling, Woodford Folk Festival, National Folk Festival, Kimberley Writers' Festival and Singapore International Storytelling Festival.

With a passion for storytelling and travelling, Anna presents an eclectic range of storytelling performances and workshops in communities across Australia and overseas. Anna Jarrett’s stories have been enjoyed by audiences of ABC’s Radio National as well as on television shows across the USA.

Drawing from a diverse repertoire of traditional and original tales, Anna’s storytelling and music programs reflect her excellence as a professional performing artist and her experiences as a world traveller. Jarrett is constantly inspired by the universal appeal of stories, delighting in the way we can make heart connections with people anywhere in the world when we have a story to share and a song to sing.

Enjoying sharing stories with people of all ages, Anna’s tales take many forms with recurring themes of: a sense of wonder, a thirst for adventure, an empowering self discovery, the importance of community and a reminder of the power of love and compassion.

Jarrett’s work as a contemporary storyteller is an eclectic mix of entertaining shows, educational workshops, community development projects, creative play and oral history recording. With over twenty years of professional storytelling experience, Anna continues to be inspired and informed by the stories which make up our lives, and the stories which help us to make connections with each other. Her greatest joy is to create places and spaces where people are gathered together to share their stories, to listen to traditional tales, to create new stories and to celebrate the richness of our storied lives.

At the heart of Anna’s creative story work is the belief that everyone has a story to tell, a voice to sing and an ability to play. Anna’s creative workshops have helped thousands of people around Australia to share their stories as part of events such as Seniors Week, Children’s Week, International Women's Day and History Week.

Actively involved with an international community of storytellers, Anna enjoys collaborating on projects with artists across disciplines including puppetry, theatre, visual arts, music, writing and filmmaking. She is constantly evolving new ways for the magical power of storytelling and music to be integrated into and enrich our everyday lives.
